BeeClear guide

BeeClear File Privacy and Cleanup Safety

BeeClear scans, analyzes, reports, and cleans files locally on your Mac. Cleanup permanently removes selected items, so review the candidates, confirm the scope, and check itemized results afterward.

Files are not uploaded to BeeClear servers

Scanned file paths, names, and app inventories stay on your Mac. Scan reports and cleanup decisions are also produced locally. BeeClear does not upload scanned files to a server. Online checkout and entitlement verification are separate payment operations.

Review scope and impact before cleanup

Before confirming, review each selected item’s name, location, size, and reason. Items whose identity is uncertain, protected by the system, still referenced, or incompletely scanned are retained, skipped, or require separate review.

How deletion and space changes are recorded

Before permanent deletion, BeeClear performs safety checks and records each item as completed, skipped, or failed. Afterward, BeeClear reports the size of cleaned files separately from the newly measured change in available disk space; the two figures are not interchangeable.
